Moller dining set

Beautiful, organically styled dining setting, designed by Niels O. Møller (Denmark 1920 - 1982) and produced by his J.L Møller Møbelfabrik in Århus, Denmark.

All five pieces are made from solid oak, with heavy structure counterbalancing the soft, hand-finished forms. The pale timber accentuates the gentle look of the set.

The chairs' seats are woven from a chocolate-brown textile cording and provide exceptional comfort. Original clear lacquer has worn over 40 years, exposing the timber surfaces beneath. Table has been re-finished in quality Danish oil for a durable finish.

The table (model no.24) has facility to extend at each end - Møller designed loose leaves in black lacquered MDF for this model - this example does not have leaves.

All pieces are structurally excellent, with light surface wear being the only flaw in the set's condition.
